Tribute to Mom

October 24, 1926 to March 26, 2021

94 years.

I read this, this morning. “Unless you believe that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, then you either worship something else or nothing at all, a situation Isaiah considers foolish and Paul calls pitiable. Why? Simply because people without the living Christ have no assurance of anything.

Mom had that reassurance. She wasn’t afraid of dying, because she knew where she was going, and Who she was going with. I’m sad she isn’t here, but I’m so happy that she can walk and run run and dance again with my Dad without any physical impediments. She can sing with the angels and the saints. She can sit at Jesus’ feet, basking in His Glory.

No more sorrow, no more pain. No more tears! She is redeemed by the Blood. I can hear her singing
Redeemed—how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy,
His child, and forever, I am.

She trusted in God’s promise, and so do I.

“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2 NASB1995

I’ll see you in Heaven, Mom. I can hardly wait!

  1. Beautiful tribute Nancy, I always loved your mother. She was always so kind to me growing up and through the years.
